Essential Qualifications:

• Ph.D./ Postdoctoral from a recognized University/ Institution.
• A distinguished research record with significant and verifiable publications in Scopus and Web of Science-indexed journals.
• Demonstrated experience in writing and securing research grants/projects will be a distinct advantage.

Areas of Specialisation :

• We seek candidates with expertise in, but not limited to, the following broad areas.
• Research across all 17 goals, including climate action, clean energy, quality education, public health, poverty, urban development and sustainable cities.
• Interdisciplinary Studies & Humanities: History, Anthropology, Literature, Philosophy, Cultural Studies, and allied aspects of Interdisciplinary research.
• Social Sciences: Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Psychology, Social Work and Management.
• Basic Sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biological Sciences.
• Computer Sciences: Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Data Science, Cybersecurity, and Computational Interdisciplinary Research. Library and information Science.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Basic knowledge of data management, documentation, and report preparation.

DESIRABLE:

Applications are invited for the position of Project Assistant to work on the research project titled:
“Ecological Impact and Value Addition Assessment for Sustainable Management of Invasive Nymphaea Species in the Wetlands of Kerala,”
funded by the Kerala State Biodiversity Board (KSBB) under the order number Ref: SHC/DoC/2025/Proj-Nymphaea/01.

The project will be implemented at the Department of Chemistry, Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi, under the supervision of Dr. Midhun Dominic C. D, Assistant Professor & Dean of Research.

Qualification:
M.Sc. in Chemistry / Botany / Zoology / Environmental Studies / Polymer Chemistry.
Candidates with prior experience in cellulose fiber extraction and the development of value-added products from invasive species (such as water hyacinth) will be given preference.

Sacred Heart College (Autonomous), Thevara, Kochi, is seeking to hire Laboratory Assistant & Technical Staff for its Department of Botany on a contract basis. The essential qualification for applicants is a Master’s Degree in Any Life Sciences Discipline coupled with documented experience with laboratory instrumentation. Candidates will be strongly preferred if they possess experience in handling instruments related to Phytochemistry, Molecular Biology, and Microscopy, along with the ability to maintain lab records, provide consultancy services, and assist with research activities..
